smart as a whip, phrase

A person who is exceedingly intelligent. No one knows why they are compared to a whip. Legend has it, it has something to do with Indiana Jones.
Johnny got an A+ on that test! That lad sure is smart as a whip!

lad, noun

A young male.
My son Bobby sure is a fine lad. He helped me chop down that old maple tree.

in a jiffy, phrase

Quick speed. Often used to describe getting something done fast.
I will have these trousers tailored for you in a jiffy.

mooning, verb

/moon-ing/

To sentimentalize or remember nostalgically. Also used later to describe flashing one's pale buttocks at another person, much like the full moon.
1. He spent the day mooning about his lost love. 2. They drove quickly in their Chevy to not get busted mooning others.

A woman with loose sexual preferences.
Did you see that floozie working on the corner back there? Tragic.

hippie, noun

/hip-ee/

A person sporting tie-dye, sandals or hair longer than a regulation flat top. Often interchangeable with communist, pinko or democrat.
Is that hippie a girl or a boy, mommy?

A person who is regarded as supporting politically leftist or subversive causes. Often used interchangeably with pinko, hippie or democrat.
Look at that communist trying to work at the food pantry.

Another word for bra; a woman's undergarment.

A way of declaring that something or someone is superb, excellent, or in other words the cat's meow.
Goodness, the boy I sit next to in homeroom is the bee's knees.

The act of being content, happy, or satisfied with the current situation.
Now that I've finally gotten my High School diploma life will be peachy keen from here on out.
