A way of declaring that something or someone is superb, excellent, or in other words the cat's meow.
Goodness, the boy I sit next to in homeroom is the bee's knees.

A way of exclaiming "and there you have it."

An informal high school dance popular in the 50s, usually taking place in idyllic locations like a gymnasium or cafeteria.
